Dennis has spent much of his life on the back of a working horse, with packhorses or mules in tow, in the wildernesses of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. He has been playing guitar and singing for weddings, birthdays and community gatherings since he was a teenager. Dennis currently loves to share his passion for western and early cowboy music with friends (old and new) in a relaxed atmosphere around the campfire or lodge fireplace. He released his first CD in 2004 and a second in the spring of 2008. Dennis retired from the Forest Service in 1995 as a District Ranger of the all-wilderness Moose Creek Ranger District in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness of Idaho. He now "works" as a natural resources consultant helping Backcountry Horsemen of America and outfitters throughout the west, as well as taking care of the small rancho that he shares with wife Liz, their horses and faithful border collie, Toby (Tobias T. (the) Poundpup).
As a second-generation farrier, Andy Nelson has the experience and the talents and humor to bring authenticity and entertainment to an audience. In 2006, Andy Nelson was named the Western Music Association's "Male Poet of the Year." He performs frequently throughout the U.S. and has been a featured performer at the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering and other gatherings. He is a popular emcee as well, at shows across the West.
Born and raised in Southern New Mexico, Laurie Wood started learning to play guitar when she was sixteen. After playing in "at least a dozen" different country bands over as many years she grew disillusioned with the music and the lifestyle, finally quitting music altogether. Now, more than 15 years later, Laurie has felt the call to dust off her guitar, and is playing the music that she really loves.
