Performers in Nebraska

Marci Broyhill Prairie Poet

Marci recites with a farm-girl point of view. The agrarian-life style Marci was once so eager to escape beckons her return through memories and verse. Marci and her siblings herded cattle and sheep, pitched hay and manure, pulled calves and the "honey wagon," bottle-fed calves and lambs, gathered the eggs and butchered chickens, watered down the hogs and the garden, put up hay and fence. Her topics stroke the heartstrings, generating memories and laughter.

The Carr Family Cowboy Band

The Carr Family Cowboy Band", Anna (15), Abby (11), Walter (9) and their dad Ronn Carr. Each play the violin along with guitar, mandolin and harmonica. They perform authentic and original songs that reflect the romance of the cowboy life intertwined with long hours of ranch life. They also play a wide variety of western, gospel and bluegrass music. Ronn and his wife Judy raise Angus cattle in the Sandhills south of Whitman, Nebraska.

Teresa Kay

Growing up in the beautiful rolling hills of northeast Nebraska as daddy's boy gave Teresa first hand knowledge of the phrase "the hardest job you will ever love." Teresa shares her time and music with people of all ages and venues. She currently performs with groups or solo for private and community functions. Not only is she proud of her songs but she is also proud of the people and heritage they represent.

Tim Nolting
