Diane Tribitt - Minnesota Cowgirl Poet

Poetry is the window to the heart and soul of MN’s cowgirl poet, Diane Tribitt. She writes with passion and intensity, especially when it comes to the cowboy way of life.  Working side-by-side with her fiancé and children, Diane runs a 700 head cow-calf operation, as well as a grain bin construction crew.  She is also the Senior Executive Editor of the I.M. Cowgirl Magazine.  Diane knows first-hand that cowboying is not only about surviving the droughts, blizzards, diseases, floods… It’s about living and working with God and raising your children to know, understand, and appreciate this lifestyle. It’s about the perils and mishaps; the romance and love. It’s about the horses, cattle and dogs. But mostly, it’s about the cowboys and cowgirls who keep it all alive. Diane was name the 14th Lariat Laureate at www.cowboypoetry.com , recognized for her poem “Half the Hand”. Diane’s book “Trail Mix” and her newest cd “Ranchin’ Rhymes” are available on her website.
